讓所有生命同樣精彩—上海燎原實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校英文部新學(xué)期校長(zhǎng)寄語(yǔ)！尊敬的各位老師、親愛(ài)的各位同學(xué)們： Dear teachers and students : 歡迎大家回歸燎原雙語(yǔ)這個(gè)溫暖的大家庭！ Welcome back to this warm family ! 我了解到，這個(gè)暑期，很多同學(xué)過(guò)得非常有意義。無(wú)論是海外夏令營(yíng)還是在國(guó)內(nèi)補(bǔ)習(xí)，大家除了簡(jiǎn)單享受閑暇時(shí)光之外，更多地是利用這寶貴的暑期積極進(jìn)行自我提升，我真心為大家的進(jìn)步而高興。 I noticed that many students just had a very meaningful summer holiday. Besides enjoy some leisure time, many of you improved yourself greatly during this precious break. I am so happy for your improvement.

然而，我也了解到：少部分同學(xué)并沒(méi)有讓自己的暑期充實(shí)起來(lái)，而是過(guò)著今朝有酒今朝醉的日子。轉(zhuǎn)眼醒來(lái)，已是九月開(kāi)學(xué)的日子?！肮朗篱g唯白發(fā)，貴人頭上不曾饒。”同學(xué)們，時(shí)間不會(huì)因?yàn)槟隳晟佥p狂就不去招惹你，更不會(huì)因?yàn)槟愀毁F高傲就繞開(kāi)你?！鞍俅|到海，何時(shí)復(fù)西歸？”如果我們不懂得珍惜當(dāng)下，就會(huì)“莫等閑、白了少年頭，空悲切。” However, I also got aware of several students who wasted a lot of time in sleeping and playing games but suddenly discovered today is September 1. Time is fair to all: “Only your grey hair can indicate the fairness of time no matter you are rich or poor”. “Thousands of rivers flow eastward to the sea, when will they flow backward?” If we do not cherish the current moment, we will definitely feel sorry for the waste of time when we get old. 當(dāng)然，我們今天更應(yīng)該為那些較優(yōu)的同學(xué)點(diǎn)贊喝彩。因?yàn)樗麄冋鎸?shí)地度過(guò)了當(dāng)下每一秒鐘，從而使青春無(wú)悔。你們的努力不僅僅讓自己的生命每天都精彩紛呈，還照亮周圍的每一個(gè)伙伴，影響著大家的生命。這也是我們燎原雙語(yǔ)一直所倡導(dǎo)的：讓所有生命同樣精彩！ We cheer for those who made effort because they are shining the world bright while making themselves outstanding. I am here praying for you: May this strong belief be with you in all your life. 對(duì)于為“走出國(guó)門”而積極拼搏的同學(xué)們，我特別想提醒以下幾點(diǎn)： To all my students who are seeking for overseas learning in the future,I have the following reminders: 1.除了卓越的學(xué)術(shù)，大家需要具備的是“智慧”而不是“小聰明”。兩者之間有著天壤之別。中國(guó)不缺少聰明的孩子，卻極其缺少智慧的孩子。燎原學(xué)子，一定要收獲智慧。至于什么是智慧，讓我們?cè)谛聦W(xué)年里一起去探索吧。 Besides academic excellence, wisdom is the most important thing you should seek for. Being clever and being wise are totally different. In China, we have too many clever children. But we need urgently many more wise students. Since you are here in our school, you should be determined to acquire wisdom. Let’s explore together what wisdom is in this coming school year. 2.無(wú)論你成績(jī)?nèi)绾屋^優(yōu)，失去善良，你就失去了幸福。我不相信一個(gè)自私的孩子會(huì)有什么幸?？裳?。真正的幸福，來(lái)自自利利他的行為和勇敢擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)膽B(tài)度。面對(duì)任何境況，都不要失去你對(duì)“人間正道”的堅(jiān)守。 No matter how excellent you academic performance is, if you lose goodness, you will never be happy. I don’t believe a selfish people could enjoy happiness. Real happiness is from the action to benefit the world and the attitude to undertake responsibilities. No matter what difficult situation you are to face in the future, please stick to the fundamental principle: be good and do right. 3.盡管我們學(xué)習(xí)國(guó)際課程，但請(qǐng)堅(jiān)守你的“民族本色”。國(guó)際化，本身就離不開(kāi)中國(guó)智慧。只有民族的才是世界的。中國(guó)智慧已經(jīng)越來(lái)越受到世界的關(guān)注，如果此刻你丟掉寶藏，會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)你所得到的僅僅是一片沙漠。 Though we are learning International Program, please keep your national uniqueness. Internationalization will lose its nature without Chinese wisdom. Chinese wisdom is attracting more and more attention from the whole world. If you lose it now, you will find out later that you are actually losing your root. 4.盡管我們希望大家快樂(lè)學(xué)習(xí)，但請(qǐng)不要曲解“快樂(lè)學(xué)習(xí)”的內(nèi)涵。沒(méi)有熱愛(ài)，沒(méi)有辛苦的付出，僅僅認(rèn)為輕松就可以快樂(lè)的話，你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)自己大錯(cuò)特錯(cuò)。無(wú)論是學(xué)習(xí)還是事業(yè)，快樂(lè)一定是來(lái)自熱愛(ài)并為之付出艱辛的努力。彩虹總在風(fēng)雨之后。 Though we wish you are learning happily, please never misinterpret our meaning.Without love and pains taking effort, we can never actually enjoy the pleasure of learning, as you can only see the rainbow after storm and raining. 5.美好的夢(mèng)想誰(shuí)都可以有，但前進(jìn)的路上需要你堅(jiān)定的心力和持久的精進(jìn)。不要因?yàn)榕紶栃傅∩踔辆趩示拖敕艞?，因?yàn)槿巳硕紩?huì)遇到這種困境。令偉人偉大的不是他們的好運(yùn)，而是他們對(duì)待消極情緒和困難的心力，使他們積極樂(lè)觀地放下悲觀情緒，輕松愉快地繼續(xù)前行的心態(tài)。你，與所有的偉人只有一念之差。 Everybody has the right to dream big. But you need determination and perseverance to make your dream true. We are human being and it is natural if you experience the time when you feel depressed and want to just give up. Keep this in mind that what makes great man great is not their luck but their attitude facing pressure and obstacles. You could be positive for each moment; you could be negative and give up facing difficulties. There is only one tiny difference between you and the great man. 6.這是一個(gè)任性的年代，但請(qǐng)讓你的才華配得上你的任性?？岵皇茄b出來(lái)的，更不是井底之蛙一廂情愿的自我陶醉?？崾欠畔绿摷俚淖晕?，放下虛偽的面子，踏踏實(shí)實(shí)地遵循“大道至簡(jiǎn)，道法自然”的規(guī)律。勇面困難，不妄青春。 This is the age of individualism and young people tend to be moreself-willed. However, I wish to remind you that your self-willing should be equipped with your talents. Being cool doesn’t mean superficialself-satisfaction. You need to give up your hypocritical ego and follow the earnest rule to face all challenges. “長(zhǎng)風(fēng)破浪會(huì)有時(shí)，直掛云帆濟(jì)滄海?！绷窃w老師，愿陪伴同學(xué)們?cè)谛聦W(xué)期勇敢地?fù)P帆起航。只是需要提醒大家：風(fēng)大浪急，能保護(hù)你們的，除了老師，還有你們自己。 “A time will come to ride the wind and cleave the waves; I’ll set my cloudlike sail to cross the sea which raves.” All teachers in Liaoyuan School are willing to accompany you to sail to your future. However I wish to remind you that the waves are dangerous. Besides teachers, you are the best ones to take care of yourselves. 祝愿大家速速啟航，早抵彼岸。 Wish you start your journey soon and reach your goal early.
